We at Videojet Technologies (I) Pvt. Ltd. (Videojet), believe in providing quality service to our customers without causing negative impact on the environment. Videojet strives to improve environmental performance of its product throughout its life cycle, by adopting best in class E-waste management practices.

Videojet’s recycling program reflects our efforts for E-waste management to eliminate environmental problems.

What is E waste?

As per the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016; which came in force from 1st October 2016, E-Waste refers to the electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waste by the consumers as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes. E waste contains substances that can have adverse effect on environment as well as human health.

Often E-waste comprises of toxic chemicals like lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) and Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs). If not disposed in a scientific way, E-waste can cause negative impacts on environment and human health.

Salient Features of E-Waste Management Program

Videojet ensures proper disposal or recycling of printers and its components when they reach their End of Life (EOL) to safeguard public health and reduce environmental pollution.

Steps for safe disposal/ recycling of printers by Videojet:-

  • Our manufactured printers are sold or shipped to our Customers or retailers.
  • Once the Printers reach their End of Life (EOL) or are damaged and cannot be repaired, customers can reach out to us on our toll free number (180030001199) for exchange or disposal.
    Note: Videojet also accepts printers of other companies through its exchange program for proper disposal, subject to certain terms & conditions.
  • Upon receiving a request for exchange or buy back or disposal from the Customer, based on customer location and equipment type; Videojet either requests the customer to bring the old printer to the nearest retailer or authorise collection centre or instruct the service provider or courier agency to collect and deliver the damaged or old printer(s) from customers’ to Videojet’s Feeder Warehouse.
  • On receipt of the printer from service provider or customer, disposal or recycling process starts.
  • Videojet’s Technical team inspects the printers, for any possibility of repairing or refurbishing the old equipment or for recovery of any reusable part(s) from it.
  • Repaired and refurbished products sold in the market as refurbished items.
  • Non-refurbishable equipment after recovery of reusable parts are sent to the government authorized E-waste recycling agencies.  In line with requirements of as per the E-waste (Management) rules 2016.
  • Authorized E-waste recycler completes the final step of recycling process like safe disposal of non-recyclable parts and recovery of rare metals that get reintroduce to the market and later to the manufacturing process for producing new products.
